 Position: Accountant (01)

Location: Niamey

*Contract: Local / No relocation

Purpose of the position:

Ensure conformity with World Vision International policies and compliance with requirements established by each donor Government, regulatory and support office under the supervision of the chief accountant.


Major Responsibilities:


To review invoice and EER to ensure compliance with policies, and make the reception for employees. Ensure and assist the staff to follow procedures in accordance with policy.  Review EER and cash equivalents on hand receipt, a cash deposit in the bank.

Checks the payroll and prepare monthly Salary accrual according to the LDR for accurate.

To be involved and assist the manager in budgeting.

Prepare and pay government taxes (iuts, cnss, ist) on timely manner to avoid penalty and various suppliers.

Produce and print transactions (CV, JV, DV)and put stamp PAID on all vouchers

Petty cash payment and renewal National office cash, and stamp PAID all voucher,

Prepares a monthly bank reconciliation

Monitor   balance sheet accounts monthly.

Prepare Monthly fixed assets list to avoid asset lost.

Works with compliance to implement 100% of audit findings.


Qualifications:  Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience

The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:


Minimum Qualification BAC+ 2 years in in Accounting or any other related fields.

Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in the field WASH 

Excellent computer skills in Excel, Word & Sun-systems software.

Good planning and organizational skills

Tact and diplomacy in dealing with staff-related to work environment needs

Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff

Working Environment / Conditions:

  • Work environment:  Office-based with frequent travel to the field
  • Travel:  10% Domestic travel is required.
  • On call:  5%
