Established in 1951, IOM is a Related Organization of the United Nations, and as the leading UN agency in the field of migration, works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants. Contexte: IOM Niger implements a series of activities in ??migration management, direct assistance to migrants, emergency situations, community stabilization and border management support, tackling the main migration and displacement challenges in the country, to provide services to vulnerable migrants and displaced persons in support of the priorities and policies of the Government of Niger. The governance units oversee the implementation of a series of activities on migration coordination in relation to migration policies, the Global Compact for Migration, the promotion of safe regular migration in collaboration with government institutions responsible migration in Niger. Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager of the Governance Unit, the candidate will perform the various tasks assigned by the Governance Officer. SECTION 3 Responsibilities and Accountabilities a) Coordinate project and migration management activities. b) Plan, coordinate and implement procedures for project activities. c) Plan and coordinate the organization of meetings and take part with government authorities and national partners d) Take part in drafting project reports and project proposal in accordance with donor and IOM requirements. e) Supervise staff involved in migration governance activities. f) Supervise and coordinate liaison with diplomatic representations in Niger for the organization of Consular mission and facilitate the organization of regional meeting on migration g) Contribute to project writing plan and perform other duties that may be assigned by the Program Manager SECTION 4 Required Qualifications and Experience EDUCATION University degree in Administration, Social Sciences, International Affairs, or related field, from an accredited academic institution with at least two years of experience.
